As our country continues to discuss the impact of the coronavirus, we are evaluating our response as a church to the potential for the escalation of the virus in our community. Therefore, we wanted to provide this update to you and inform you as to how we are currently responding, especially in light of church activities in the short term.
As of NOW (3/12/20), all activities will continue as scheduled. We are evaluating the situation daily and will provide updates via email, Facebook and our church website www.valleygrove.org. Our cleaning company has assured us that they are taking every measure possible to disinfect common-touch areas, including door knobs, light switches, etc. As for Sunday school and worship services, we highly recommend that if you are immune compromised or are in a high-risk group for contracting this or any other contagious virus that you use your own discretion concerning your attendance. If you or a member of your family is sick (regardless of the nature of the illness), we recommend that you stay at home until you are feeling better. PLEASE don’t feel guilty if you are forced to miss some activities because of health concerns.
In the event that we have to cancel services in the future, we will again make that known through email, Facebook and our church website. The potential exists that we would be able to provide a Facebook Live sermon from Pastor Keith and we will work toward that end in the event it becomes necessary. Please also remember that if we cancel worship gatherings, you may continue to send your tithes and offerings via mail or use the GIVE ONLINE option on our website. This situation is unlike anything that we have faced in the past, but we know our God is sovereign in all things and He will provide us the wisdom and discernment necessary to navigate this situation for His honor and glory.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact our staff at Valley Grove or one of our deacons. We will do our very best to minister to the needs of your family. We want to do everything possible to keep our people healthy and we take this situation seriously. We will give further updates as warranted.
