Dr. William H. Sims III Senior Pastor Pastor Sims is a native Tennessean. He grew up in Humboldt, Tennessee and has served as pastor at churches in Ashland City and Union City Tennessee. His educational background includes 3 academic degrees: Bachelor of Arts (Religion) from Union University, Master of Divinity from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Doctor of Ministry the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Sims has served as a Trustee of the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, was active in the State Convention, served in numerous responsibilities on the associational level, taught Pastoral Ministry Courses for Southern Seminary, New Orleans Seminary, and Blue Mountain College, Blue Mountain MS, was an R. G. Lee Fellow for Union University, and authored articles for Lifeway in regard to Pastoral Ministry The Sims family has already relocated to Seymour. REV. GORDON ALFORD Associate Pastor of Music & Worship Rev. Gordon Alford has served Valley Grove as Minister of Music and Worship since October 2002. He has a Bachelor of Church Music degree from William Carey College in Hattisburg, Mississippi and over 30 years of music experience. His wife, Donna, is a talented pianist. DR. CHAD RITTENHOUSE Associate Pastor of Education & Outreach Dr. Chad Rittenhouse has served Valley Grove as the Minister of Education and Outreach since January 2001. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with both a Masters of Divinity with Languages degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Anthony Kendall Youth Pastor Anthony is a native Sevier Countian. He has attended Walters State, UT and has a degree from Johnson Bible College. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Liberty University. He is a gifted communicator with over 25 guest speaking engagements as well as leading worship and preaching weekly at First Baptist. Anthony has participated in organizing, preaching, teaching, and worship leading for many Student Ministry events including: Upwards Basketball, Hearts on Fire Student Conference, Judgment House, Panama City Beach Retreats, Ski Trips, Mission Trips, Local Backyard Bible Clubs, and Vacation Bible School. Anthony has extensive missions experience with six trips to Brazil and trips to Las Vegas, West Virginia, South Carolina, New Mexico, Montana, Mississippi, Illinois, and Tennessee.
